The Viral Factor : infectious review..

Jay Chow or Zhou Jie Lun and Nicholas Tse, two well known names in the asia entertainment business. The two paired up together in the latest movie, "The Viral Factor". The movie directed by a well known Hong Kong Director, Dante Lam. His famous work before, Sniper and The Fire of Conscience has led his latest work, "The Viral Factor" to my movies list limelight.

This movie tells the story of brotherhood, greed, love, betrayal, crimes and etc. The movie takes place in Jordan, Columbia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and a few places more. The main reason why I eagerly want to watch this movie was because it was 90% filmed in Malaysia, my country.

Secondly, of course, the big names for the leads. Jay Chow plays the younger brother of Tse. The action movie started in Jordan. Jon or Fei played by Jay Chow worked in a  special police team. His team was supposed to protect a scientist that has developed a mysteriously deadly measles virus from being kidnapped by the people who wanted to use the virus for making money. During the mission, Jon was shot in the head by their team betrayer, Sean (Andy On). Sean was known to be a fast sniper and he also killed Jon's ex-girlfriend, Ice.

Survived from the deadly shot, Jon had only few weeks to live since the bullet can't be taken out from his head. He will slowly be paralyzed since the bullet is pressing his nerves. Not wanting to waste his time, he head back home, where his mother told the unknown history of his family. His father was a gambler and due to that, she left him with his big brother, Yung, played by Tse. So, Jon decided to find them to bring them back to China. Hence, the actions starts....in Malaysia. Chow took the AirAsia plane back to Malaysia. heheh.. a big sponsor I believe. He met with a scientist in the plane, Dr. Rachel Kan.

In Malaysia, Yung was a very well known criminal as he robed the bank and was sentenced to jail for more than 10 years. (they filmed this at the Mahkamah and it was proud to hear the Bahasa Malaysia was recorded in the movie. Tse was also wearing the oranged uniform for prisoners with "lokap polis" written on the uniform.) . He escaped from the police. He then met with the other bad guys who were actually the polices. Yung was instructed to Kidnapped Dr. Kan as she knows how to do the vaccine for the virus. They wanted to spread the virus and sell the vaccine in order to make money.

When Yung wanted to kidnap the Dr. , Jon was there and able to stop the kidnapping. Yung almost killed his brother as both not knowing each other relationship. Yung escaped. Jon then met his father and his niece, Yung's daughter. He then knew that, the kidnapper was his brother.

Yung finally managed to get the virus out of the ACDC lab by using Dr. Kan. Wanting to meet his brother, Jon then caught in the middle of police chase with Yung and was accused of helping his brother escaped. During the same chase, his father died. The chasing part was full of action and running. Full of adrenaline.  Yung daughter was also kidnapped by Sean, the betrayer who wants to sell the drug and vaccine. As for trade, Sean wants the virus that Yung have over Yung's daughter. Jon and Yung managed to find Sean's hiding place and wanted so save Champ, Yung's daughter. To escape, Sean threaten Champ's life by injecting the virus at her. Sean escaped and ordered Jon to bring Dr. Kan to produce the vaccine if he wants to her live. Jon was then caught by the police but Yung escaped.

Jon who wants to help his brother and rescue his niece, became the one against the police. He escaped from the jail in the helicopter and shot a fellow police. So, he somehow became a 'criminal'. (the helicopter scene was awesome. the helicopters chasing was low near the ground. KL people were very lucky to watch the scene LIVE!). He then brought Dr. Kan to the ordered place at Golden Triangle. ( Oh, just got to know that the crossroads at Bukit Bintang is known as Golden Triangle).  Sean kidnapped Dr. Kan and bring her to the ship where they want her to produce the vaccine. Champ was already badly in shape as the virus has taken action. As the vaccine nearly finished, Sean ordered them to kill Champ. He never wanted to save her at the first place. He just wanted the vaccine. Jon managed to bring Dr. Kan and the vaccine formula out from Sean's . Fighting and gunshots filled the scenes. After a while, there's left only Sean and the two brothers. Since Sean was known as a fast shooter, it was hard for them to kill him. They plan to use one person as bait and one person to shoot him. Jon then run by himself towards Sean, hoping that Yung will be the one to kill him. The plan worked, Jon got shot by Sean and meanwhile, Yung shot Sean.

The next scene was showing, Yung and his daughter went back to China to meet his mom. His mom then asked where his younger brother was but he just kept silent. So, in the end, the younger bro died...

A very heavy story to say. Full of actions and adrenaline. Most scenes made in Malaysia at Cameron Highland, Kota Bharu sea, Putrajaya, International Medical University, around KL - Pavilion, Bukit Bintang, Raja Chulan, Balai Polis, KL sentral, in KTM, Pudu, etc. The scenes were just amazing!! a lot of gunshots, cars getting crashed, accidents, windows crashed, bombs and a lot of running. Seeing Malaysia, the place I know on the screen made me proud. Listening to some Malay conversation made me think " wallawey, the whole world is watching this, man"... every action scene made me amazed. wow, they can do these in Malaysia? During the scene in Putrajaya, Yung and his comrades were driving Proton Perdana. He then drove into a cafe and crashed that building all over. Man, that is wow! but sadly to see, the local guards and police got beaten and shot.

The first chase when the Dr. got kidnapped, the van they drove flew over into a big drain when they were fighting inside in the middle of KL. That scene also awe me. The chasing scene with the police in the middle of Pudu road and Jalan Tun Razak impressed me. I mean, how can they filmed with bombs and gunshots and chasing in the middle of KL busy, jammed raod? I dunno how many cars they used to crashed for the gunshots and hit. but I know, alot. You can see Proton Wira, Kenari, Waja and lot more local cars in the scenes, got bullets flying through and crashed. Maybe these cars are cheap to use, but on the others hand, kinda promoting the local cars. There's on scene, Tse hijacked a Produa Myvi to chase his daughter kidnapper. Myvi kot.. wow! The scene in KTM was also amazing!! The helicopter scene, the driving through Pavilion building and crashing the car from 2nd level to ground, breaking glasses.....No wonder it is expensive. Read somewhere that this movie costs around 20million and RM 70K for the rentals of cars and so on in Malaysia. I mean, seriously, anyone who watched this, won't be bored at all.. Full of actions and amazement!! I just dunno how to describe it in words. You need to watch it yourselves. If you love Hollywood's actions, then, this movie is the right one for you. it is similar to that. I gave 4.8 out of 5 for the actions!!well, can't give full mark, right?.. for the storyline, it was kinda mix and match of different movies and made into a story. I dunno why Dante chooses Malaysia, but thank you so much for it. You have shown that a lot more can be done with actions in Malaysia. Hope the local filmmakers can learn something from this. I am amazed on the capabilities of what Malaysia can provide for awesome movie like this. The viral factor is very infectious.. huhu

Hello BORNEO-MIRI!!~~~~~~:-)

Alhamdulillah...smlm jam 945pm,slamat tiba di Miri airport. First time menjejakkan kaki di bumi borneo.

Pengalaman yg amat menarik  skali...bukan pasal Miri tapi pasal flight nk ke Miri. Heheh..

Ok,start dari awal skali. Pagi smlm pas subuh, bertolak ke KL menaiki bas dari AS kol 830am. Sampai Pudu lam jam 3pm.

Dari Pudu ke KL sentral naik LRT Star dan transit Putra. Dari KL sentral trus naik bas ke LccT. Sejam jugak la perjalanan..tapi ada makcik yg sporting dok sebelah. Bersembanglah selama sejam tuh.

Sampai LccT lam kol 430PM. Trus solat dan lpas tuh mencari kaunter mobile check in. First time wat mobile check in terkial-kial gak. Akhirnya berjaya mendapat boarding pas dan terus check in luggage. Kelam kabut singgah McD akibat kebuluran x mkn tgh hari. Masuk waiting area. Flight delay!! Aduhh..ada lam 30minit gak delay tuh...

Tapi xpe ah...masa kat waiting area tuh,ada mamat encem dok sebelah..waduh.. Mcm gaya artis gitu.dahla muka chinese look..hmm..trus rindu abang aku.

K,next,masuk2 flight, fuh, pramugara hensem tunggu depan pintu siap tanya aku "nak gi miri ke?"... At least dengar suara...huhuu.. Pastuh kat dlm,ada pramugara enncem lagi sorg...huhuhu... Rezeki cuci mata..ngehehehe :-P . Pramugari hot gak. Muka cam mizz Nina, rambut blonde n ngerbang cam beyonce.tapi mekAp tebal laa...

Pramugara lak pakaian lagi sopan compare ngan pramugari..sepanjang nek flight tuh boleh nmpk la beza flight merah ngan biru... Kalo nak more sopan, formaliti, lebih keslesaan dan ada snek free amek yg biru..tapi mhl sket la kan.kalo nak more relax, less formal, funky, chic, awek hot2,pramugara hensem2,murah,mkn sendiri, sempit sikit, amek yg merah. Hahah..itu based on my experience laa...mungkin experience org beza2. Okeh, tamat sudah critera itu, kerana hari ini akan bermula ceritera baru, pusing 2 brunei...huhuhu

it's my money,my choice and my liking..so,can u just shut up?!

Memang susah kalau nk puaskan hati org lain.

But if u yourself satisfied, then just close your ears to the negative chatterings around you.

But i do agree everything has a limit, even life has a limit. It is bounded by death. So,the words here are 'patience has a limit'.Oh n yeah, not every decision made has no regret. But still, life has to go on. What done is done.

So,whenever you wanna say something to others, please put ur mind on the run. Put yourself in their shoes. U'll understand the reason for things done.

N again i would like to say 'can u please just shut up?!'.....

Another hard decision day..

21st OCt 2011, Friday..

Just got back from Perak after 11 days away from home..
So went to work half day only..
Got report to finish but cannot finish today.. aiya.. got to continue next week i guess coz it's difficult to be brought home.
Got back home and heard the sad news.. The cat that has been with us from August has started to act mean..
We just don't understand why coz my mom always feed the cat everyday..
She went to our neighbor house and feed on 3 small rabbits pets for breakfast!! I was like (0_0)???Its not that we never feed her and her kittens.. my mom always gave them their meal each time..maybe she found that meat is just nicer to have compared to fish..
Then, at lunch he grabbed another one but my brother manage to stop her and save the rabbit but unfortunately one of the back leg broke and the skin was tear apart.. kinda scary looking actually..
Then, she stole another one but again manage to be saved by my bro.. luckily this one has minor injury and still alive..
After Maghrib, we made the decision to place the cat and her kittens away from home.. It was not safe anymore for other small pets around the neighborhood..and it was kinda shocking to see her like that as she was always a nice cat and a caring mother..
Hence, we act the decision, they were send far away from home.

As we were looking for the vet office, (we never went there and don't really know the way there), with the hope that it is open, so we can get the rabbits treated..
Well, it was dark and the vet office is like inside the kampung road where it was difficult to find the office..
So, I put the car light at high beam to see the road more clearly...
As we were searching for the office along the road, a car from the opposite came from far.. and out of the blue, it stopped on the way towards us..
We don't really know why, so, just ignore it..
Then, we found the vet office, yeay!! I turned right at the entrance road to the office but it was closed already.
As I was about to reverse my car, another car stopped right behind ours. We were panicked!! Quickly rose up the power window.. afraid that it is some kind of robbery or other danger..
The driver came out, a man.. around early 30's i guess (can't see clearly), wearing kain pelikat.. so I thought okay, this can't be any robbery.. why would a robber wear kain Pelikat..
My bro at the back roll down the window, the man came near and said arrogantly and angrily ...

" Turunkan la lampu tinggi tuh, dok suluh-suluh, silau. Orang tak boleh nak drive" and my brother just apologise to him..I don't know if I speak, there could be a fight there, so, I just keep quite trying to calm myself .

urghhh.. I got so mad.. I know its kinda my fault with the high beam.. but
1. It was not purposely done for him .. I was eagerly looking for the vet office not realizing my high beam..
2. Does he really have to park behind my car just to warn me that? why? afraid i'd run away?? we have to wait for him to reverse our car.. which kinda pissed me off..
3. Can't he use a proper 'car language'?? where's the word "tolong"? or in english it's "please.."in case you don't know
4. Does he not know the universal language when you want someone to put their high beam down? like flash the light for a moment?
5. Mentang-mentang kitorang bukan orang kampung tuh, die boleh cakap berlagak macam tuh?

How would you expect me to respect you with that?...
This is for me just another example of how future generations would be if the older gen. including us didn't do anything to fix this bad culture.. Don't blame them for what is our fault.

*p/s: tapi aku memang bengang betol la dengan abang tuh, memang kerek giler.. aku dah hafal no plate keta die, pas nih aku jumpa, nak tgk sket rupa manusia yang kerek tuh. keta iswara je pon.. kaler biru..

tormented by stereotyping minds...

when u get to 20's, people around you will ask,
''do u have a boyfriend?", "when r u getting married?"
and etc. stuffs like that...
when you r about to get married, they'll ask again,
"how much is the dowry?", "what dress are you going to wear?","what's the theme?", bla-bla-bla..
in a year of marriage, people will ask again, " when are you having your first child?", "is it a boy or a girl?"...
when the child grows up(if you have one), the questions will be, "where ur child is schooling at?", "how's the exam?, the results?",
years later, "which college or uni your child's attending?" , "did ur child worked already?"..
"when's ur gonna get in-laws?" , "when will you get a grandchild?".. stuffs like that.. and all that will keep repeating itself.. our child will be the 'victim' too..
I dunno y, i understand that the public is really concern about you, but too concern with everyday asking questions like that, can be a source of self destruction caused by depression and sadness..
hey, its not like that person like it those much of not having any answers to those questions.
i felt that and trust me, its not a liking at all...
just please give me a break and time will only tell when it comes.. till then, please, i beg, please stop asking me questions that i do not have the answer to that..

K-drama masukkan citer pasal muslim..

terkejut gak tgk drama Korea baru2 nih..
citer "Scent of a Woman" lakonan Lee Dong Wook ngan heroin my name is KIm Sam Soon, masa episod first lagi da tayangkan pasal penyembelihan, daging halal, pasal Muslim x leh mkn pork.. tapi pelik sket sebab pompuan yg dikatakan muslim tuh pakai skirt pendek n sleeveless.. adeh..
pastuh siap tunjuk ada Quran lagi tuh....
Quran tafsir.. pandai diorg pilih, cantek gitu..
arrow merah tunjuk Quran yg ada...

nih part die nak sembelih ayam.. btol la tuh. suh org Islam sembelih..

"HALAL DAJAJ" a.k.a daging Halal.. heheh

aaaa.. nih la pasangan yg dikatakan muslim tuh, padahal pelakon korea gak.. tgk baju pompuan tuh, sleeveless kot.. skirt pendek lagi tuh.. nih je lari sket..
in my opinion, meybe sebab K wave dah sampai negara Muslim kot, so, diorg nak tawan lagi bnyk peminat Muslim , nih la salah satu cara.. k la gak.. at the same time educate org korea pasal muslim..

citer 'protect the boss' yg bakal tayang start 3 Ogos nih pon pon ada gak elemen islam, mana heroin tuh kononnya mintak doa ngan Tuhan nak cari kije, sume janis agama die try, nak mintak bg dpt kije.. paham diorg wat untuk comedy tapi ada terasa cam dimainkan gak la..nak jadi Islam, jadi bebetol.....

citer "scent of a woman" nih quite interesting la.. nak tau camne perjalanan hidup wanita malang nih yg bakal jatuh cinta ngan mamat kaya.. hehe.. skeptikal tapi agak menarik.. tgk first ep. cam dah terpikat..k, nak sambung 2nd one.
